Surprise!!!!!

As I mentioned, it was my husband's birthday and it was a BiG one. I surprised him and flew our 2 children from out of state for a quick weekend visit. He Was SuRpRiSeD!!! It was great having all 4 children here!! They are home now and life is back to normal. Love these kids SO much!!!

Love these kids!! Wish their spouses and kids could have been here.They have given us 15 grandkids!!

The girls even had time for a 4 mile run! Sisters!!

Hello Spring! Time for cleaning {out}

The weather is much nicer and the sun has been a welcomed friend!! I started some cleaning and cleaning {out} and it feels great! Why, oh why do we have so much stuff?? The answer is two (or 20) fold. First, it is sometimes stuff we love and 2) it is just easier to leave it alone and hope it will find its way to the door by itself! Whether you are painting, decorating or dejunking it usually has to get ugly before it gets pretty again!

One of the things I love PILLOWS! They can make a statement in a room for very little money. They are like paint in that regard.(another one of my loves) While cleaning out my storage room I found this pile of pillows.

One reason I have them is that I like to change my décor seasonally. If you look close you can see just the corner of a green storage container towards the top left. It has pillows in it too. It was difficult but I did get rid of a few. Now this might not look like a lot, however there are about 35 additional pillows through out my house. Do you have an decorating or organizational obsession?

A difficult week...

Last week was a difficult one for our family. Our nephew passed away at the age of 34. As of today, we do not have a cause of death. I'm not sure it really matters. He was an amazing young man. A  guitar player (living his dream) a kind and gentle soul. He was humble and giving. He leaves behind a wife, mother, 2 sisters a step father and thousands of friends and admirers. My sister in law has suffered much loss in her life. She lost twin boys at birth, a widow at 44 and now her son. She will move on from this tragedy. She is loving and strong and amazing. We love them and pray for them and all who knew and loved Jeremy.

We made it through the week.
