I bleed paint....

Let me explain. I love to paint...spaces! My husband says that our house is getting smaller because of all the painting. My kids say I bleed paint! They are both stretching the truth but I do enjoy it. I love to wander the paint department, visit my local Sherwin Williams store (lucky for me and them, there are 3 stores in my town)and just stare at the paint chips...ah...  I am planning on painting our master bedroom, its past time. I purchased a sample to test on the wall, which I encourage my clients to do, and painted the test square. We love it! It will be beautiful! My plan is to paint the room next month when I have more time in the schedule. Now every time I walk past it, I want to paint!! I don't have the time but, ah it is driving me a little crazy cuz I just wanna get it done!! Do you love to paint?  What is your little obsession? (I have MANY)

Saturday Seminar!

Today was the seminar and it was wonderful! So much fun!! I love sharing tips and information with people. My topic was "Navigating the Finishes!" The only fail was...no pictures!! For the locals that missed it, we are planning to do several more of these events in the future!

Remodeling Presentation

 

Tomorrow will be a fun day! I am doing a seminar with my contractor, and his supplier. We are discussing remodeling. I will cover finishes-what to consider, style, color, etc. It is always fun to share my passion for design, décor and style with others! Added bonus they can purchase my book and get even MORE information! I'll let you know how it goes.

Have you seen it? Do you have it? What do you think? I don't have it but I'm in LOVE!! It is beautiful, durable, and easy to clean. Maybe someday...I can dream, can't I?!?!?

Walk this way!

I have been trying to get more steps in each day...it has not been easy! I hurt my knee in May and it has been a  s l o w  recovery. In the last few weeks I have finally been pain free when walking, but I still have to be careful. I am not a fan of injuries! But I am grateful for my recovery albeit a slow one. Below are some of the beautiful spaces in my neighborhood. They help keep me going. What keeps you going?

I love this chair. I found 4 of them at our local consignment store and I was SO tempted to grab them and take them home. However I generally get my hubby's input before I purchase larger items. WHEN WILL I LEARN!!!  He didn't like them! How could you NOT??? I'm going to have to start asking for forgiveness instead of agreement!  What do you do when you find items that you love? Forgiveness or agreement?

 

 

 

 

CrAzY Month and Sad Good byes

It has been a CrAzY month!! My oldest son and my youngest daughter work together. My son is the  President and CEO of Master Networks and my daughter is the Operations and Systems Manager there. He decided to move the business from Minnesota to Texas. Greater potential for growth and a larger talent pool. Its a wonderful opportunity!! Our daughter and her husband and children moved 2 weeks sooner than they planned due to her husbands transfer coming sooner than anticipated. It was crazy busy helping them get ready to go. And then about 3 weeks later...we did it all over again with our son, his wife and 5 kids. It has been sad and a bit lonely without those cute people here but they are SO happy there!! That makes ME/US happy!!!
